The club began in 1910 and is one of the oldest in Queensland. We are looking to take advantage of the opportunities we expect to see present in 2021 from the interesting 2020 Covid season. Together, we’re shaping the future of our sport, one match day at a time. We believe that this hands-on approach will not only enhance their technical skills but also instill valuable leadership qualities and a deeper understanding of the game.

Youth Development Football Initiative

MetroStars are thrilled to announce an initiative aimed at accelerating the development of our junior players through firsthand experience with our senior team match days. We also took a look at the new Resort and pool, which was served by the steak restaurant and bar The Cove. We didn’t use the pool though, It looked very pretty, but was set on an artificial beach, similar to the one on South Bank in Brisbane, and we didn’t fancy getting sand on feet and bodies so we stuck with the infinity pool at the hotel. After two grand slam finals in 2022, Ruud finished the year at world number 3. Not seeking a rest, Ruud flew straight from the ATP World Tour Finals in Turin to South America where the Norwegian played a series of exhibition events alongside his childhood idol Rafael Nadal. What followed was two-day trip home before a holiday to the Maldives.

We grew up playing juniors, traveling around at the same time, same places. We tried the senior’s half price special lunch on the Monday too, but it didn’t suit our palates, as it as all deep fried with chips (apart from a Caesar salad). Remuneration will be linked to short- and medium-term goals. This role is an opportunity for a hands-on leader to rebuild our program. We have been competing in Div 3 for the past couple of years, but it is our goal to compete in the Saturday competition as soon as possible. There were phones dotted around the pool too that linked directly to the Vue bar and drinks were ordered and promptly delivered. That was beautiful food beautifully served outside in the cool of the evening.
